Helen Marie Loy, the daughter of the late Delmar and Callie Burress Mings, was born Tuesday, January 15, 1929 in Taylor County and departed this life on Sunday, February 24, 2019 in Harrodsburg at the James B. Haggin Hospital. She was 90 years, 1 month and 10 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Stoner Creek United Methodist Church and was a homemaker and worked with her husband on the farm.

She enjoyed sewing, reading and crocheting. She united in marriage to Carl Loy, who preceded her in death on May 26, 2018. Survivors include a daughter: Sheila Hollon and husband David of Campbellsville; a grandson: Anthony Hollon and companion Tonya Mann of Campbellsville and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Helen Marie Loy will be conducted Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Callahan Cemetery. Bro. John Hall officiating.

Visitation from 5-8 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
