Surviving relatives include her one son, Telek Smith; one brother, Blair Smith; three sisters, Lula Glover, Betty Rouse and Gloria-Jean Richmond; one grandson, Christopher Davis. Funeral services will take place on Friday, September 21, 2018, at 12:00 noon at First Baptist Church, 106 North Roberson Street, Chapel Hill, N.C. 27516, with a family visitation thirty minutes prior to the service.

A wake will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018, beginning at 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., at Scarborough & Hargett Celebration of Life Center, Inc., 309 N Queen Street, Durham, N.C. 27701.
