Our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend Helen Pearl Thomas, 93, of Bluffdale, Ut for left us on March 9th with family by her side. Helen was born to the late Mickey and Beatrice Young in Montana on May 6, 1925. She was married to the late Sonny Thomas for 54 years before his passing.

Her only sister, Ruth preceded her in death. Helen is survived by two daughters. Beth (Joe) Navarro who took Helen into their home to care for her the past 8 years and Marcia Thomas of Evanston, Wyoming.

Surviving grandchildren: Sonya Harmer, Tom (Angela) Gleason, Ronda. (Mike) Brooks, Kearra and Cierra Navarro, Jeanne and Sonny Anderson. Surviving great grandchildren: Nadia, Cedric and Misha Vedadi, Gracie Brooks, Shayla (Gavin) Hoogveldt, Sanae (Levi) Welch, Drew and Drake Hale, Shanell and LJ Anderson, Starlee and Marquis Morales, Tanner, Tait, Ty, Amber, Trevin and Amelia Gleason, Riley Welch, numerous cousins in Idaho, her best friend Dennis Hayman.

Can’t forget her beloved 4 legged friend Buttons who was by her side or in her lap as a loyal dog would be. She loved Buttons and would tell her and anyone else that. We want to thank Aspen Ridge Hospice for the great care and compassion given to Helen during the last month here with us.

Especially Sonya, Ronda and her aide Angie. A memorial will be held in Helen’s Honor on Saturday, March 16th from 2:30-5:00, for the memorial location please contact at 801-231-3431. The family requests that you make a donation to a nonprofit in lieu of flowers in Helen’s name.
