Helena Tuhanowska, 86, of Roscoe, IL, beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018. Born on July 16, 1932 in Zdreby, Poland, the daughter of Stefania and Stanislaw Gajewski. Helena was a devoted mother and wife.

She married Jan on July 22, 1953 and spent 53 years of happiness together. Helena was the leading force in bringing her family to the United States. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of anyone that needed help.

Helena was a selfless person who was a guiding force for her family. She has now joined her beloved daughter, Celina, and her husband, Jan, in heaven. She will be dearly missed by all who were touched by her personality and love.

Survived by her son, Richard; daughter-in-law, Zofia; grandchildren, Chris, Peter, Bazyli, Brian, Nichole; great-grandchildren, Crystalina, John, Andrew, Emma and Sara. Mamusiu i Babciu pozostaniesz w naszej pamieci na zawsze. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main St., Roscoe, Illinois 61073 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Burial at Willowbrook Cemetery.
