Obituary of Helen M. Burch Helen M. Burch, 85, of United Methodist Gardens, Falconer, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday (March 16, 2019) at Lutheran Home and Rehab. An area resident most of her life, she was born November 21, 1933 in Corydon, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Donald and Arlene Baker Sparks. Helen graduated from Randolph Central School in 1951.

She married Paul J. Burch on January 23, 1952 in the First Baptist Church of Frewsburg. They celebrated their 60th anniversary before Paul’s demise in September 2012. You are reading her obituary which implies that she is dead.

Don’t believe it. She is very much alive. In fact, more alive than she has ever been before.

Helen was an avid reader. Her hobbies were crafts and cooking. Her love of cooking and baking was enjoyed by all.

Family favorites were her venison stew and baked beans. Helen Attended Levant Wesleyan Church. Surviving are three daughters: Kathleen (Marvin) Swanson of Frewsburg, Julie (Gary) Valentine of Osage, Oklahoma and Lisa (John) Lauffenburger of Nort Port, Florida.

Eight grandchildren: Jason Swanson of Frewsburg, Matthew (Janelle) Swanson of Falconer, Jennifer Cheney, Richard Ernewein, Paul and A.J. Valentine all of Oklahoma, Neil Nathan (Charlotte) MacNeil of Falconer and Nichole (Jason) Borland of Warren, Pennsylvania. Six Great-Grandchildren: Tyler Swanson of Falconer, Jaycie Watson and Charlotte Valentine of Oklahoma and Alex Wurster, Molly Kuns and Tiffany MacNeil of Falconer. Two sisters: Donna Beck and Linda Burke of California.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter Faith Marie Swanson and three sisters: Shirley Sparks, Carol Beardsley and Doris Burch. The Family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 2:00pm Friday March 22, 2019 in the Falconer Funeral Home. A 2:00pm Memorial Service will be held.

The Reverend David McCarthy will officiate. Burial will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg. In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to St. Susan Center, 31 Water St., Jamestown, NY 14701.
