Henry Johnson III Services will be held on October 25, 2018, at the Gaines funeral home 9116 Union ave wake 1:00 PM services 1:30 pm Henry Johnson III was born on February 26, 1950, to the union of Henry Johnson Jr. and Rutha Woulard. He was born in Stateline, Mississippi where the family soon moved to Gary, Indiana. Henry was the second oldest of eight children.

After graduating from high school in Gary, Indiana, Henry enlisted in the United States Army and left the with an Honorable Discharge. Henry moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1974 and was gainfully employed as a Compress Operator. He also received an Associates Degree in Computer Science.

Henry accepted Christ at a very early age. He was a member of Open Door Missionary Baptist Church. Henry loved to walk in parks, listen to music, travel and the game of chess!

Henry went home to be with the Lord on October 16, 2018, at Southwest General Hospital. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his two loving and supportive children, Therrion and Stephanie; a loving and devoted fiance, Joyce Craig; three brothers and one sister, Mary Ann Hamilton, Therrion Johnson, Kevin Johnson and Herman Johnson; two half-brothers, Michael and Jason Reynolds; grandchildren, Divinity, Kio and Skhye, Nathaniel, Jaslisha, deamitra, Kyleigh and Camren; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Betty Craig and other relatives and many friends.
