Herbert David Blumhagen was born August 6th, 1931 to David and Rose (Hirsch) Blumhagen in Rosenfeld Township of Sheridan County, south of Drake, and grew up on the family farm. The car won numerous awards including 1st place at the National Studebaker Car show in Estes Park, Co in 1987.

Herb also restored over 15 International tractors. In his younger years he ran a trapping line which is how he acquired his 1st Studebaker, a 1951 Starlite. One of Herb’s final requests was that he wanted to be buried with his boots on.
