OBITUARY Herchell Marie Hill January 20, 1973 – December 8, 2018 Obituary Herchell Marie Hill, affectionately known as Shelly, 45, of College Station, TX, passed away on December 8th, 2018. Shelly was born in New Orleans, LA on January 20th, 1973. She was a thirteen-year military veteran, EMT, beloved mother, daughter, and sister who was strongly devoted to her family.
She developed a strong work ethic from a very young age, carrying this with her throughout the rest of her life. After transitioning back to civilian life, she spent most of her working years as a Nursing Assistant at several assisted living facilities, lastly employed by Parc at Traditions. She was sure to leave a profound impact on the residents and coworkers alike.
Shelly’s over-the-top personality and vivacious sense of humor made her incredibly hard to forget after meeting her. She was fiercely loyal to anyone that she considered to be family or friend. She is survived by many loving relatives including Edgar Hill Sr. (father), Dejon Hill (son), Janeishia Hill (daughter), Markaila Sanders (daughter), Mark Sanders III (son), Ryan Hill (daughter-in-law), Zamyra Hill (granddaughter), Chanda Hill (sister), Joy Coler (sister), Edgar Hill Jr. (brother), Alisca Hill (sister), Eddie Lee Hill (brother), Louis Hill (brother), Dyon Hill (cousin), Kytrel Hill (cousin), Adante Simmons (cousin), Sean Simmons (cousin), along with a host of other beloved relatives and friends from all around the world.
Funeral arrangements will be held on December 28th, 2018, at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. We kindly request that everyone be present at the chapel no later than 11:30 am, as there are military proceedings with strict time frames. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you please visit gf.
