Mr. Sullens was born on July 2, 1949 to the late James Edward and Betty Jane Sullens. He was also preceded in death by his son Tommy Stephens, daughter Cheryl Sisk, stepson Robert Wayne, brothers Sylvester Sisk and Chub Sullens, sisters Velva Bruce and Joan Stephens.

Herman was a family man and he loved being retired and gardening and yard selling. Survivors include his spouse Frances Sullens, Murrayville; daughters Wanda Stockton, Dahlonega; Terry Walker, Gainesville; and Patricia Ballard, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law Teresa and Jerry Deyton, Gainesville, and Lisa and Billy Farr, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law Shane and Tonya Peck, Dahlonega; sisters and brothers-in-law Lucy and Jim Carrier, Dahlonega, and Virginia and Robert Gibson, Dahlonega; brother and sister-in-law Tommy and Linda Sisk; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Monday, January 21, 2019 at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home.

The Rev. Jerry Deyton and the Rev. Timmy Sullens will officiate.

Interment will follow in Browns Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-9:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. To share a memory of Mr. Sullens or a condolence with the family visit andersonunderwood.com.
