Dwaine passed away on December 12, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He is the son of Harold Allen Meadows and May McFarlane, born on May 5, 1932. He was married to his sweetheart Dixie Greenwood in the Salt Lake Temple on April 29, 1955.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings including, Bishop, Stake Presidency, the Scouting Organization, and many more callings throughout his life. He served in the Jordan River Temple for 10 years and loved every minute of it.

He loved being with his family and doing many activities together. He loved to golf, go camping and fishing, go on vacations, and dutch oven cooking. He even wrote a dutch oven cookbook and illustrated the front cover.

He made a great brisket and ribs. He loved woodworking and made many pieces of furniture for his children and grandchildren. He had a green thumb and loved to work outside in his garden and flower beds.

He watched many sports, but loved to watch the Utah Jazz either in person or on the television. He served in the US Army and was very proud of that. He retired from the University of Utah after working there for 40 years.

We will all miss him greatly, but know he is reunited with his sweetheart, Dixie, after being apart for 5 years. He is survived by his children: Cathy Bird (Charlie), Roger Meadows (Marisa) and Christine Mace (Joe), foster daughter Evalyn Beard (Wes), 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and his sisters Alice Evans and Daryl Moss. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and May Meadows, wife Dixie Meadows, and son Richard Meadows.

Viewings will be held at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S State St., Midvale, Utah on Sunday evening, December 16, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday, December 17, 2018 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Highland 2nd Ward, 9800 S. Dunsinane Dr., South Jordan, Utah. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Highland 2nd Ward. Interment will be at the Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 S Memory Ln.
