Howard “Randy” Hicks formerly of Tipp City, passed away at age 59 on May 15, 2019 in Fairborn, Ohio after extended illness. He was born on May 9, 1960 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, to the late Essie Lee Hicks (Rodgers) and the late Howard Hicks. Howard graduated from Grant County High School in Kentucky.

Howard was the husband of Cheryl Avey Hicks of Tipp City. He was preceded in death by grandson Lawrence, his brother, Danny Hicks of Paoli IN, and sisters, Debbie Falin of Dickson, TN, and Colleen Walton of Bennington, IN. Howard is survived by his daughters, Angelia Avey Gnagy (Kyle) of Powell OH, and Candace Hicks; and sister, Barbara McCord of Sabina, Ohio, as well as seven grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Per Randy’s request, his body is being donated to Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. He often joked that one day he would finally get go to college. A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, May 25th at 10:00am at Tipp City Park picnic shelters: 225 Park Avenue, Tipp City, Ohio.
