Obituary for Hugh A. Scott Hugh A. Scott North Augusta, SC – Mr. Hugh A. Scott, 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 29, 2018. Mr. Scott served in the US Naval Reserves, was a member of Fleming Baptist Church, an ordained deacon at Woodlawn Baptist and former member of Abilene Baptist Church. He was the son of the late John G. and Nan G. Scott.
Mr. Scott retired with 38 years of service from the E. I. DuPont Co. at the Savannah River Plant. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Sunrise Grille in North Augusta, Trinity Hospice and Daybreak Nursing Care. In addition to his parents, Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his first wife: Elmo B. Scott; and son: Philip W. Scott.
He is survived by his wife: Judy Harris Scott and her family; son: Martin G. Scott (Denise) of North Augusta, SC; and grandson: Christian G. Scott (Rebekah) of Simpsonville, SC. A graveside service will be Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Bill Harrell and Rev.
Patrick Latta officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the grave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, 810 Maxwell Ave.
