Memorial services for Hugh Rouse, 71, of Lufkin, will be held Sunday, July 8, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Chestnut Drive Baptist Church in Lufkin with Bro. Blackie Cranford officiating. Mr. Rouse was born October 7, 1946 in Dalton, Georgia, the son of the late Hubert Ellis Rouse Sr. and Ruthene Ida (Tune) Rouse, and died Wednesday, June 18, 2018 in Lufkin.

Mr. Rouse served in the Unites States Marine Corp and Navy and worked as a California Highway Patrolman. He was a dive master, ski patroller, and loved fast cars and motorcycles. Mr. Rouse loved his cats, Patch, Lucky, Baby, Stormy, and Wild Child.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Rouse of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Cindy Totin of Wells; granddaughter and husband, Meagan and David Sturrock of Midland; granddaughter and husband, Taylor and Dylan Herman of Wells; and great-granddaughter, Braylee Herman of Wells. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
