Funeral services for Wayne Dominy, 93, of Huntington, will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Ty Phillips officiating. Graveside service will follow on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Ryan Cemetery in Cleveland, Texas.

Mr. Dominy was born August 20, 1925 in Excelsior, Texas, the son of the late Clyde Dominy and Lillian (Hill) Dominy, and died Sunday, September 9, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Dominy loved movies and old country western music. He also loved to fish and work in his garden.

Mr. Dominy was always keeping up with the stock market. He is survived by his wife, Pam Dominy of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, Cecil Wayne and Barbara Dominy of Baytown, Texas; grandson and wife, Richard Wayne and Sherry Dominy of Cleveland, Texas; grandson and wife, Rusty Wayne and Erika Dominy of Anahuac, Texas; great-grandchildren, Jaiden, Maddison, Derrick, Emily, Kendall, and Steven Dominy; brother, Clyde Dominy of Cleveland; sister, Barbara Powell of Cleveland, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Donald Lubs of Conroe, TX; and brother, Thomas Melvin Dominy of Madisonville, TX. Mr. Dominy was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debrah Arlene Dominy; and brothers, Johnnie Bob Dominy, Donnie Ray Dominy, and James Gerald Dominy.

The family requests that any floral arrangements sent be potted plants rather than cut flowers, so that Wayne can watch them grow from Heaven. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin. Shafer Funeral Home, Lufkin directors.
