Hunter Bernard Leach was born on January 21, 1946, in Summit, Oklahoma. He was the oldest of four children. Surrounded by his loving family, he transitioned to eternity with his Lord on December 22, 2018, in Dallas, Texas, at age 72.

Hunter graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1964. He went on to enlist in the United States Army where he proudly served his country until he was honorably discharged in 1970. Later, he attended Dallas Baptist University where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

For approximately 15 years, he worked at LTV Aircraft Company in Grand Prairie, Texas, as an electronic technician until he established his own computer technology business, Microsystems Consulting, from which he retired. Affectionately regarded as “Bernard” by his family and “Uncle Punch” by his nieces and nephews, Hunter enjoyed fishing, collecting coins, and his gadgets. He was a member of Mt.

Hebron Baptist Church where he faithfully served as a deacon under the leadership of his brother, Pastor Leonard O. Leach. He also served as the head of the AV ministry for several years. A simple, intelligent, and reserved man who was spirit-filled with a strong will, Hunter Bernard Leach will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Hunter was predeceased by his father, Hunter T. Leach; step-father, Alfred J. Porter; and wife of almost 30 years, Myrtle Leach. Those left to cherish precious memories include his son, Anthony Leach and his wife Tynisha; daughter, Esther Leach; son, Eric Leach and his wife, Darniecia; son, Simeon Leach; 10 grandchildren; mother, Bernice V. Porter; brother, Bishop Charles Leach and his wife, Annette; brother, Pastor Leonard O. Leach and his wife, Sharon; sister, Thomasetta Blount and her husband, Ray; and a host of other relatives and friends.
