Obituary for Ida Mae Redd Ida Mae Redd, 89, of Martinsville, passed away, Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Lewis Gale Medical Center, Salem, Virginia. She was born, September 27, 1928, in Henry County, Virginia to the late Robin “Dink” Redd and Callie Sue Hairston Redd. She enjoyed bingo, flea markets, yard sales, and spending time with her great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marie King, Mittie Redd, Laura Redd, Maggie Morris, Mamie Perkins; brothers, Modest Redd, Matthew Redd, Joe Pete Redd, and O’dell Redd. Ms. Redd is survived by her daughter, Norma Redd; granddaughter, Donna Redd; great-grandchildren, Vashawn Gray, and Lacario Gray; special caregiver, Evelyn Hairston, and a host of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 4, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Carver Memorial Gardens.
