Ila Faye Hunt of Mineral Ridge formerly of Niles, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 12:45 a.m. in Vista Care Center at the Ridge. She was 98. Ila was born in Johnstown, PA on February 5, 1920, the daughter of the late Rancy B. and Margaret Utzler Dick.

She was a graduate of Conemaugh High School in Johnstown, PA. Ila was a loving homemaker, wife and mother. Mrs. Hunt was a member of the First Baptist Church of Niles where she sang in the choir and held various positions in the church.

She loved making quilts and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. Her husband, Clair Hunt, whom she married March 19, 1938 passed away on June 17, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Carole (Jack) Hawout of Niles; a son Dean Hunt of Youngstown; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ila was preceded in death a daughter, Betty Muffley; 3 sisters and 7 brothers. Friends and family may view the obituary and send condolences by visiting www. NicholasFuneralHome.com.

A funeral service will be held in the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services 614 Warren Ave. Niles, OH 44446 on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Burman Jr. pastor of First Baptist Church of Niles and Rev.

Ben Reed. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Internment will take place in Kerr Cemetery.
