Obituary for Ila Mae (Holtzclaw) Slinker NEW PALESTINE – Ila Mae (Holtzclaw) Slinker, 90, of New Palestine passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2018. Ila Mae was born October 25, 1927. She married Leslie Slinker on June 14, 1947.

She graduated from Central Normal College, Danville, IN in 1948. She taught school for 22 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, and loved spending time with her family more than anything.

Survivors include her loving husband, Leslie; daughters, Becky (Denny) Emery and Anita (Steve) Kelsey; sons Gary Slinker and Jeff (Jill) Slinker; grandchildren Stacy (Jamie) Purcell, Amy (Paul Holle) Phillip, Wes (Anna) Kendall, Mike Kelsey, Matt (Anna) Kelsey, Josh Slinker, Zach Slinker, and Emily (Kurtis) Fox; 13 great-grandchildren; and brother David (Brenda) Holtzclaw. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.

Burial will immediately follow at New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine. Memorial contributions may be made by mail to Meals on Wheels of Hancock County, 1133 W. Main Street, Suite C, Greenfield, IN 46140 or envelopes will be available at the mortuary. Friends may share a memory or a condolence at www.
