Obituary for Erland R. Petry Jr. GREENFIELD – Erland R. Petry, Jr., age 61, of Greenfield, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. He was born in Indianapolis on February 18, 1957. He graduated from Indianapolis Baptist High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1975-1978.

Erland married Mary A. (Hall) Altman on July 8, 2005 in Greenfield. He was a truck driver for Tropicana for many years. Erland was known by his loved ones as a fun and entertaining guy.

He was always there for anyone in need. Erland is survived by his wife, Mary Altman; mother, Marilyn Sylvest; children, Amber N. Petry, Joshua M. Petry, and Allison Rose; brother, Rob Petry; sister, Shelly Owensby; and a niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Sammie Sylvest.

There will be no services, per the request of Erland. Memorial contributions may be made by mail to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), PO Box 96929, Washington, D.C. 20077. Friends may share a memory or a condolence at www.
