Ruth McLain Rooks, 89 of Newnan, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Newnan Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born September 1, 1929 in Clay County, AL to the late Burl M. McLain & Lenora Estelle Bolt McLain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “Junior” Rooks and brothers, Theron, Boyce, Burl, Curtis, & Lester.

Ruth grew up in Carroll County, GA before moving to Coweta County. She was a member of Arnco Baptist Church for over fifty years and she retired from Playtex after 35 years. The funeral is Monday, March 18, 2019 at 2 o’clock in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Rev.

Ken Norton officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at Noon.
