OBITUARY Ira Richard “Rick” Rogers May 9, 1942 – July 26, 2018 Ira Richard “Rick” Rogers, age 76, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018. Born in Greenville, Oklahoma, he was a loving family man who served his country honorably with the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict and in the Reserves. He earned a Sharpshooter Badge for the M1 Rifle, a Marksmanship Rating with a BAR, and a Parachutist Badge.

He retired from FMC after 37 years of service, and was a long time member of American Legion Post 0594. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Wilma Jean Rogers, and a son, Chad Richard Rogers. Survived by children, Bill “Buck” Rogers and wife Melanie, Shawn Smith and husband Charlie, and Bradley Darrell Rogers and wife Evelyn; grandchildren, Brian Torres, Morgan Rogers, Miranda Rogers and fiancé Justin Hoermann, Robert Scott Rogers, Tiffany Campbell and husband Matthew, Barry Calvert and wife Chevonne “Chevi”, Kacey Smith, Bradley Allen Rogers and wife Deanne, Victoria Morgan “Tori” Rogers, Ryen Richard Rogers, and Tera Star Rogers; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Wilma “Sugie” Rains; brother, Carl Anthony “Tony” Rogers and wife Dian; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2018, at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060.
