Obituary for Irene J. Clements (Marshall) MECHANICVILLE – Mrs. Irene Marshall Clements, 92 of Saratoga Avenue, died Friday, Jan 18th at Wesley Health Care, Saratoga Springs, following an extended illness. Born in Stillwater, Feb 17, 1926, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Schultz Marshall, she was widow of Ralph Clements, who died in 1972. A seamstress, Irene had worked for Ursula of Switzerland and previously for Korell Dress Co and the Stillwater Knitting Mill.
In addition to her sewing career, Irene had also plied her cooking skills at Panza’s Starlight and former Shag-A-Val restaurants. A communicant of Assumption-St. Paul Church, Irene had an open door policy where all were welcome into her home. She enjoyed the love and company of her family and always looked forward to hosting her annual Christmas Eve parties.
Survivors include her children: John (Barb) Clements of Saratoga Springs, Carol (Clarence) Skipp of Mechanicville, Paul (Cheryl) Clements of Gansevoort, Dianne Culliton of Watervliet, David (Beth) Clements of Mechanicville and William (Tina) Clements of Victory Mills, along with 16 grand and several great grandchildren, siblings Lawrence (Dorothy) and Donald Marshall as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Irene was also predeceased by her son-in-law James Culliton, sister Mary Kopyc-Goodbody and brothers Edward, Raymond, Morris, William, Charles, Henry, Arthur and George Marshall. Private Services will be held at the convenience of family with burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
