Isabelle (Iszie) Truax, age 95, passed away 11/20/18 at CHP In Patient Hospice Center. Iszie was born 10/12/1923 to G.D. (Shorty) and Mary Harrison who proceeded her in death. On 12/19/1953 she married Charles Truax who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include a daughter Nancy (Jerry) Dohoney of Florida and Jeff (Kim) Truax of Middletown, OH; grandchildren Chad (Amy) Adams, Justin (Sara) Truax, Barrett Truax and Nathan (Mandy) Dohoney. A daughter, Kathi Jo proceeded her in death. Great grandchildren include Kyley (Tanner) Laemmle, MacKenzie Adams, Gavin Gardner and Jack Dohoney plus great great grandchildren Donovan, Evelynne, Henry and Max.

Iszie graduated from Ohio City Liberty in 1941 and St. Rita’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1944. During her nursing career Iszie served in many capacities including the Van Wert County Hospital, National Seal as the Industrial Nurse, Dr. Smith and Dr, Ayers offices, Visiting Nurses and Vantage Career Center. There will be no calling or visitation hours.

There will be a private service for family members only. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the CHP Hospice Center in Van Wert.
