Obituary for Isiree Olivarez Surrounded by family, Isiree Olivarez passed away at home on June 22. Isiree (Izzy) was born in Thailand on October 27, 1990 to parents Sombat Noitarong and Maithai (Weow) Putnam. She and her mom moved to the US in 2003 to begin a new life adventure.
Izzy was a gifted student and quickly overcame language barriers to achieve academic excellence in her new country. She enjoyed school and made friends easily. She graduated from Kamiakin High school in 2009.
It is there she met her future husband and best friend, Abraham. She and Abe married June 1, 2013. Their greatest achievement and joy in life was the birth of beautiful daughter Keira: a most perfect carbon copy of Izzy.
Izzy was a hard worker and worked a variety of jobs to put herself through college. She earned an associate of arts degree and bachelor’s degree in accounting and was employed by GESA until her illness prevented her from working. She has always planned to seek additional education, but simply ran out of time.
She was the best wife, daughter, mother, and friend one could ever hope to have or be. Izzy was a smart, kind, loving, honest and loyal person, but was also strong and a ruthless negotiator. She was an accomplished classical Thai dancer, loved to sing and play piano with her many church friends.
She loved visits to Disneyland, valued friendships and enjoyed life. But, most of all, she loved her family which always came first. Her strong Christian faith and belief in God helped her endure a difficult five-month battle with ovarian cancer.
With her husband at her side throughout, she never lost hope or gave up fighting: but a victory was not to be. Izzy, we all love and miss you dearly. Surviving family includes her mother, husband, daughter, Aunt and Uncle (Tym and Patrick O’Brien), mother and father-in-law (Maria and Alex Olivarez) and many close and loving relatives in Thailand.
Viewing will be Friday, June 29, 5-8:00 PM. Funeral Services will on Saturday at 11:00 AM, both at Mueller’s Tri-Cities Funeral Home in Kennewick. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in her name to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
