Obituary for Ismael Gonzalez Rodriguez Ismael Gonzalez Rodriguez, age 69, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the family residence. Ismael was born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico and he was the son of the late Carmen Rodriguez and Geronimo Gonzalez. HIs brothers, Emilio Gonzalez and Fermin Gonzalez also preceded him in death.

Ismael worked for himself as a painter and handyman. He enjoyed working in his fruit, vegetable and flower gardens. Ismael was known for his sense of humor!

He was a member of the Church of God Community of Hope where he was very active. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Julia Gonzalez of Cleveland, his daughters, Elisabet Alomar and her husband Julio of Cleveland, Luz McGhee and her husband John of Zellwood, Florida, Yajaira Suarez and her husband Felix, Carmen Rendall and her fiancé Anthony Bellamy all of Ocala, Florida, Evelyn Sanchez and her husband Epi of Ludlow, Massachusetts, Lizbeth Rosario of Puerto Rico and Denisse Ledesma of Cleveland, her sons, Jaimie Gonzalez and his wife Jackie De Porres of Georgia, Ruben Gonzalez of New York, Ismael Gonzalez of Arizona, his step son, Victor Rosario and his wife Esmeralda of Cleveland, his 25 grandchildren, his 8 great grandchildren, his sisters, Carmen Rosa Irrizary and her husband Luis, Mirta Ortiz and her husband Alex and several nieces and nephews also survive. The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 7:00 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Pastor Jose Pimentel officiating.

Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at a later date and time at the Santa Cruz Cemetery in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until the service time at 7:00 on Wednesday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
