OBITUARY Jack Chancellor Britain August 3, 1941 – September 20, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Jack Chancellor Britain, 77, of College Station, passed away September 20, 2018 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in College Station. A Celebration of Life service will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station. Mr. Britain was born August 3, 1941 in Taylor, Texas, the son of Eva Mae (Garrett) and Jack Carter Britain.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Texas A&M, Class ‘66 and his Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Texas A&M ‘68. While attending Texas A&M, Jack married Leola “Ginger” McClain in 1963. After working for Electronic Data Systems, the Britain’s returned home to College Station, where Jack founded his own business, Chancellor Construction.

After many years of building homes, Jack returned to Electronic Data system until retirement. Two months after retirement, Jack returned to work as a technology assistant for the Plano Independent School District. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge as well as being an avid outdoorsman.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing along with many other outdoor activities. Mr. Britain was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Eva Britain. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ginger Britain; three children, Jack Howell Britain & his wife Kayden of Boerne, Michael Allen Britain of Keller, and Stacy Britain Holick & her husband Chris of College Station; four grandchildren, Nicholas Allen Britain, Matthew Christopher Britain, Jaxson David Holick, and Kendall McClain Britain; and a sister, Melonia Anne Vickery.
