Age 82, of Wheelersburg, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at Concord Nursing and Rehabilitation in Wheelersburg. He was born April 16, 1936 in Wheelersburg to the late Wells and Rebecca (Hall) Fremont. Jack was a proud Tiger and 1954 graduate of Glenwood High School and a retired Iron Worker out of the Ashland Local 769.

He enjoyed welding and was a member of the First Church of God in New Boston. Jack is survived by two sons, Bradley Fremont (Dawn) of Stockdale and David Fremont (Amy) of Grove City; a daughter, Susan Jackson (Stephen) of Galloway, Ohio; and eight grandchildren, Cole Fremont, Cassidy Fremont, Chase Fremont, Avery Fremont, Brock Fremont, Nicholas Jackson, Rebecca Jackson, and Benjamin Jackson. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Fremont, whom he married on January 24, 1955 in New Boston.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2019 at D.W. SWICK – NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston with Pastor Acy Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Old Wheelersburg Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 at the funeral home.
