Jackie’s Obituary Jackie Allen Deason, 72, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital. He was born on January 22, 1947, in Osceola, AR, to the late Willie and Leona Kendazora Deason. Jackie was a jailer for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and also worked at Colonial Rubber for 46 1/2 years.

He was a member of the Tiptonville Fire Department, where he was a captain and the safety instructor and was a member of the Rescue Squad. Jackie was an EMT for the Lake County Ambulance Service at its inception and as a young man he was a farmer. He received an award from the American Red Cross for his numerous blood donations.

Jackie was a member of the Tiptonville First Pentecostal Church and a member of the Tiptonville Masonic Lodge. Jackie was true to everyone he met and was the best Papa that a grandson could ever want. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2019 in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro.

Chris Wilbanks officiating. The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Carolyn Deason of Tiptonville; a daughter, Amanda Louise Deason Riddle of Ridgely; two brothers, James Deason of Tiptonville and Donald Deason of Charlotte, N.C.; and a grandson, William Noah Riddle of Ridgely.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Riddle, Noah Riddle, Larry Rogers, Dakota Leland, Tommy Jones, Henry Clay, Bryan Avery, Anthony Rogers, Danny Tippit, II, Perry Brewer, members of the Tiptonville Fire Department, members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Department and members of the Tiptonville Masonic Lodge. Memorials may be directed to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the Tiptonville Fire Department.
