Obituary for Jackie Thompson Jackie Thompson, age 76, of Cairo, KY passed away at10:24AM, Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Methodist Hospital, Henderson, KY. Jackie was a member of Cairo United Methodist Church. He retired from Sitex after 36 years of service.

Jackie enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing (when he wasn’t busy taking things apart and trying to fix them). Jackie was preceded in death by his father, Duron Thompson, 2 brothers: Michael Thompson and Patrick Thompson, 1 sister, Roxanne Thompson and son Michael C. Thompson. Survivors include: Wife, of 57 years, Beryl Arnett Thompson Daughter: Shannon Axton, of Cairo, KY Son: Mark Thompson, and his wife Marcia, of Mt.

Pleasant, TN Mother: Pauline Thompson, of Henderson, KY 2 Sisters: Kathy Hancock, and her husband Henry, of Morganfield, KY and Linda Epley and her husband Rodney, of Sebree, KY 3 Brothers: Steve Thompson, and his wife Patty, of Blacksburgh, VA, Randy Thompson, and his wife Sandy, of Robards, KY and Stanley Thompson, of Henderson, KY 2 Grandchildren: Wayne and Courtney Axton, of Cairo, KY Step Grandchildren, Step Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Jackie’s Life Celebration from 10:00AM until service time, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00PM at the funeral home with Rev Michael Sweeney and Rev.

Jeff Burke officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont in Henderson, KY. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Worsham Post #40.
