Jacqueline J. “Jackie” (Byrum, Vogt) Milton passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, September 2, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Jackie was born in Toledo to Virgil and Violet (Ames) Byrum on July 29, 1931. She spent all of her young life on the North end , graduating from Woodward High School in 1949.

She was first married to Milo Vogt and together they had four children, Vernon L.(Brenda Hall), Vicki L. (Fred) Wiseman, Tracy A. Dagostino (Keith Gorka) and Kevin J. (Audrey). In… Read More » 2002 she married Robert “Bob” Milton and they spent their first ten years together living in Florida, moving back to Toledo in 2012. Jackie loved fishing, gardening, cooking, canning and crocheting.

She also enjoyed bowling and ran the youth program at Moline Lanes for many years while working there in the 70’s. Mom loved her dogs, Cali (who preceded her in death) and Bitzy & Mitzy that survive her. Besides her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by both Milo and Bob; and a brother Virgil James “Jim” Byrum.

Left to cherish her memory besides her children, are four grandchildren, Brian (Jodi) Vogt, Eric (Amelia) Burkey, Alivia Vogt and Kaleb Vogt. Jackie was also blessed with five great grandchildren, Kherington and Keeghan Burkey, Lilliana and Reylyn Juhl and Mila Vogt. Jackie also had a large extended family of step grandchildren and great grandchildren that loved her.

Friends may visit the family on Friday from 2-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave (west of Corey Rd) where a funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Matsha Storey, her adopted granddaughter for the care she gave mom the past few years.

Also to Joyce Day for the joy she brought to Mom’s life these past few months. We would also like to thank ProMedica Hospice for their help and guidance during Mom’s journey and ask that any contributions be made to ProMedica Hospice.
