Karen Louise Exton went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 23, 2018 at 12:04pm at the age of 64 years old after a nine-month battle with cancer. A native of Toledo, Ohio, Karen was born on March 31, 1954. Karen graduated from Start High School and attended the Medical College of Ohio to obtain an Associate’s degree in nursing.

She worked as a registered nurse at the Medical College of Ohio and the Toledo Peds office for a short amount of time but is most remembered… Read More » by her family for being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. Karen will be remembered by her loving husband of 38 years Thomas Exton, her four children Matthew (Kayda), Katie (Tom), Andrew (Lindsay), Mary (Hayden), her brother, Michael Koch, and her seven grandchildren, Charles, Faith, Patrick, Alistair, Kevin, Daisy, and Henry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Charles Koch.

Karen loved to sing and play the piano in her home. She enjoyed country drives and walks with her husband, Thomas. She spent many years loving and caring for her children and grandchildren.

Her life was devoted to serving others through Christ. It was Karen’s hope that others would come to know Christ through her unconditional love and service. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave.

(west of Corey) on Friday from 6-8 pm and Saturday after 11 am where funeral services will follow at 1 pm. Interment Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to First Alliance Church, 2201 Monroe St. Toledo, Ohio 43604.
