Ruth R. Wagoner, 93 of Curtice, OH, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 at Landings of Oregon, Oregon, OH. She was born March 22, 1925 in Curtice, OH to Fred and Emma (Flick) Gruetter. She was a graduate of Genoa Area High School and Bowling Green State University.

She taught Home Economics at Oak Harbor High School and Genoa Area High School. On December 26, 1948, she married Marion D. Wagoner, who preceded her in death on March 3, 2013. Ruth is survived by her son, Thomas D. (Carol) Wagoner of Curtice, OH, daughters, Virginia R. (Richard) Schneider of Amelia, OH, Barbara J. (Garth) Peterson of Cincinnati, OH and Linda J. (Larry) Tucker-Smith of Walbridge, OH, grandchildren, Timothy M. Schneider, Carol M. (Chuck) Thacker, Robert D. (Lynn) Wagoner, Jacob C.F. (Tami) Wagoner, Lauren M. (Alex) Janesz, Brittany E. Tucker and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Marion, she was preceded in death by her parents, foster brother Marvin Gruetter and her grandson Benjamin I. Wagoner. Visitation will be 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH.

The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday October 10, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 313 Main St., Genoa, OH, with burial to follow in Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa, OH. In Lieu of flowers, memorials for Ruth may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.
