Obituary for Jacqueline Marie Palkovich Jacqueline Marie Palkovich, age 57, of Castle Rock, Colorado, passed away on April 14, 2018. Jackie was born on November 7, 1960, the eight of nine children in Waupun, Wisconson, to Roy and Janette Dillie. Jackie often looked back fondly on her childhood growing up on a farm on Mackford Prairie near Markesan, Wisconsin, where she would fetch the eggs and watch her father milk the cows.
After graduating from Markesan High School in 1978 she attended Moraine Park Technical College in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, where she met the love of her life, Shane David Palkovich. Jackie graduated from the Cosmetology program and began cutting hair at The Barbers. On August 31, 1982, the couple were married in Las Vegas, Nevada.
They spent 13 years traveling and growing together before having their two children Brittany and Benjamin Palkovich at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. At the time, Jackie was employed at the Mayo Clinic. They lived in Minnesota for 21 years before moving to Columbus, Ohio.
The last seven years, the family has lived in Castle Rock, Colorado. Jackie loved sitting on the porch in the morning with a hot cup of coffee in her hands. She had an adventurous spirit and loved long drives to the mountains with her husband, taking in all of God’s creation.
She gave to those who had nothing, loved those whom nobody else loved, and took in the homeless on two separate occasions. Jacqueline Marie Palkovich was a light shining brightly in a dark world. She woke up every morning bound and determined to radiate as much love and kindness as possible throughout her day.
No one can deny that she had a Heart for God and for all His children. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Janette Dillie. Jackie is survived by her husband Shane, her children Brittany and Benjamin.
