Jacqueline Samuels September 1, 1953 – July 13, 2018 Jacqueline Samuels, 64, of Charlotte, died July 13, 2018. She was born September 1, 1953 in Burgaw, NC. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00PM on Saturday, July 21, 2018 in the Chapel at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC.

Her family, Robert and Maggie Wright along with her Sister Deborah moved to Denver, Colorado, when she was young.

Here she graduated from the Denver County public school system. She attended some college, before taking a position at Xerox corporation. In these early years, she married and had three beautiful children, Roberta, Ronald, and Yasmine.

In the early 80’s she moved back to North Carolina and made this state her home living in Greensboro, Raleigh, and ultimately, Charlotte. In North Carolina, she continued working as a successful sales representative at Xerox, leading her to eventually become an entrepreneur, owning a successful print shop. She raised her children and thrived during these years.

Her children gave her three beautiful grandchildren, Kyrin, Jaxon, and Brody. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. In the early 2000’s she moved to Charlotte.

Here she continued working as an entrepreneur, before joining Easterseals UCP, where she managed group homes. She worked here until her passing. She always shared with others that God had given her the best children, grandchildren, and son-in-laws.

She leaves to mourn her Children, Roberta McNair-Guzman, Ronald Samuels, and Yasmine Jeffers, her Son-in-Laws, Joe Guzman and David Jeffers, her Aunts, Mrs. Lillian Ray and Mrs. Fontaine Henry, her Niece Lydene Hamilton, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends. Jackie was a warm, loving person, affectionately known as Sunshine. She never met a stranger.

She always put others before herself. She was always well-informed and could be found debating culture, music, and politics. She loved her family fiercely, and was the ultimate Mother.

She was cherished by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
