Obituary for James Arthur McIntyre James Arthur McIntyre passed away May 28, 2018 after losing his battle with cancer at the age of 71. Formerly of Memphis, he was the first born, of three children, to Willie B. and Laura Bell McIntyre. He leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Dorothy; two daughters, Renee (John) Coleman and Teresa Dickerson of Olivehurst; two sisters, Cora Nadine and Annie of Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Shaphon, Kishnai Jr., Kishaun, Shaunice, De’Von and Delonte’ and great-granchildren, Mahallonnii and Mazziah.

James graduated in 1964 from Booker T. Washington High School, Memphis, TN. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. While assigned to Beale AFB and after 21 years of service, he retired as Master Sergeant.

At that point in his life, he and his wife decided to make Marysville/Olivehurst their home. As a civilian, he became a long time employee, Senior Technician of Larry’s Business Center of Yuba City and a member and deacon of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Services will be conducted Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Dorn, officiating.

Military Honors will be conducted by Beale AFB Honor Guard. A memorial dinner will follow services at the church. Private inurnment will be at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
