Obituary for Mr. James Bass Mr. James Frank Bass age 81 of Americus, passed Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Rehoboth Baptist Church. Rev.

Greg Kirk, Rev. William Hall, Bill Sheppard and Rev. James Beckett will officiate.

Interment will follow in Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday, May 21st at Aldridge Funeral Services. The following grandsons will serve as active pallbearers: Justin Hood, Jake Hood, Taylor Bass, Allan Rue, Jordan Spradley and Logan Blanton.

Mr. James Frank Bass was born November 29, 1936 in Americus, son of the late Robert Bass and the late Judy Bradley DeVane. Mr. Bass was in the finance business forty plus years. He owned and operated his own Finance Company from 1973 until his retirement in 2000.

He was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, Sunday school teacher and numerous other jobs. He loved the Lord and his Church. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954 through 1958.

Survivors include his loving wife Carol L. Bass and their special baby Poncho; two sons Jim Bass Jr. of Americus and Alan Barry (Terri) of Americus; one daughter Angie Bass Singletary of Americus, three grandsons Justin Hood Jake Hood and Taylor Bass, a granddaughter Cassie Barry Spradley (Jordan), two great granddaughters Kelsee Bass and Kenlee Bass. A brother Russell Bass of Lebanon, Va. , a sister Earline Felts (Logan) of Leslie, three half sisters Anne DeVane Matthews, Sue Thomas and Karen Bell; a half brother Tommy Devane (Susan), a sister-in-law Carolyn Salter Bass and one Aunt Nena Kelly also survive.

Mr. Bass was preceded in death by a brother Robert Gilbert Bass, a sister Pauline Bass Buckner and a son-in-law Sam Singletary. Memorial contributions may be made to Rehoboth Baptist Church P.O. Box 641 Americus, Ga. 31719.
