Akers James Bradford Akers, 75, Galloway, died Friday, July 20, 2018, Doctors Hospital West. Jim was born May 25, 1943 in Columbus a son of Juanita Marie (Shaw) Legg. Jim graduated from London High School and was retired from International Harvester.

He served as a proud member of the United States Navy and then retired from the Air National Guard Squadron #187. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Woody Hayes fan. Jim is survived by his wife of 49 years: Patty Akers; daughters: Teresa (Akers) Duty (Ben-Jim’s buddy); Jolene Akers (Kenny Davis); siblings: Barb (Bill) Everetts; Herbert (Patty) Akers; Chris (Akers) Bennett; Rick (Lydia) Legg; grandchildren: Abby Reece; Ethan Bevington; Christopher (Brooke) Duty; great grandchild: Sawyer Belle Duty; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his: mother; step father: Richard Legg; brother: Paul Akers. For memorial service information please call one of the family members.
