James’ Obituary A resident of Kentwood, LA , passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at home in Kentwood, LA. He was born February 25,1944 in Tylertown, MS and was 75 years of age. He was owner and operator of Kentwood Auto Salvage for over 36 years.

He is survived by wife, Kathleen L. Coon; 2 daughters, Pamela Golmon and April Laird; 1 son, Chad Coon; 5 step children, Christy Brown, Fry Brown, Christopher Brown, Katie Brown, and Clint Brown; 4 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Tinsey DeBlanc, Norma Jean Gibbs, and Penny Lynn Cook; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, James and Murial Coon; former wife, Dorothy Coon; 1son, Derrick Coon; 1 brother, Roger Dale Coon Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, from 5p.m. until 9 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2019, and from 8 a.m. until religious services at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019. Services conducted by Dr. Danny Smith.
