James C. “Jim” Shea, 77, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday March 15, 2019 at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Connie (Kleiner) Shea, with whom he celebrated 51 years in marriage. Jim was born in Hazelton on August 16, 1941 to the late James M. and Dorothy (Hilton) Shea.

Jim is from the St. Nicolas area of Mahanoy City. He was a 1959 Mahanoy Township High School Graduate, a 1981 Moody Bible Institute graduate, a 2008 graduate of Evangelical Seminary and later became a certified chaplain through Eastern Mennonite University. Jim was a US Army Vietnam Veteran.

He was self employed since 1972 in New Jersey as the owner of a Citgo garage and gas station. In 1987, Jim came to live in Lebanon County and bought a Texaco station in Palmyra. Jim was an active member of North Annville Bible Church.

He had volunteered for 19 years at Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Center as a counselor and had volunteered as a chaplain at the VA. He also accompanied his wife on several mission trips to Latin America. In New Jersey, he was an officer in the Manville ELKS, where he served on the crippled children’s committee for several years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Scott Shea and Morgan Shea, his granddaughters, Katie, Karly, and Kassy, two sisters, Dorothy Zeigmont and Maryanne Little, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 20, 2019, at 6:30PM from North Annville Bible Church, 4590 Hill Church Road, Annville. Interment will be held privately in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with military honors.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening at the church from 4PM – 6PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave. , Lebanon, PA 17042.
