James C. Keane was 80 years old when he passed away Monday, November 19th. Born in the Bronx, James was a resident of Bergenfield for the last 50 years. He proudly served in the United States Army National Guard from 1960-1964.

Before retiring, James worked as a Customer Service Representative with Con Edison for over 35 years. Active in his community, he was a former Little League coach, a member of the Knights of Columbus- St. John’s Council #1345, and a longtime member of the Church of the Ascension, New Milford. James was predeceased by his late wife Kathleen (nee Gill).

He is the loving father of Stephen Keane and his wife Shannin and Daniel Keane and his wife Sheryl, James was predeceased by his late son James Keane. He was predeceased by his siblings; Helen Dertinger, George Keane, and Patricia Bird. James is the cherished grandfather of Allison Keane, Ryan Keane, Doyle Keane, Finnegan Keane, and Nolan Keane.
