James Charles “Jim” Hudgins, 85 of Gainesville passed away Sunday May 13, 2018. A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Hudgins was the son of the late Charlie and Clara Evans Hudgins. He was retired from the Uniform Printing Company with 34 years of service, with 25 years as the manager.

After retirement, Mr. Hudgins owned and operated Lanier Envelope Printing for 25 more years, retiring from there in 1987. Mr. Hudgins was a member and deacon of Northlake Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Betty Hudgins, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Tony Smith, Gainesville; Kay and David Lancaster, Anderson, South Carolina; grandchildren, Shanna and Doug Snyder, Demorest; Jacob and Betty Lancaster, Clarkesville; Adam and Stephanie Lancaster, Salem, Virginia; Josh and Morgan Smith, Gainesville; Chelsea and Ben Garner, Lawton, Oklahoma; six great grandchildren and a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Tex Forrester, Gainesville, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday May 17, 2018 at the Northlake Baptist Church. Rev. Danny Jones and Rev.

Tony Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Wednesday May 16 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Those wishing to send online condolences to the family may do so at littledavenport.com Little & Davenport Funeral Home and Crematory, Gainesville is in charge of arrangements.
