Ms. Vivian Ann Cantrell Callahan was a lifelong resident of Hall County. She was born in Chicopee on August 19, 1947. She was a member of Chicopee Baptist Church and Free Chapel Church.

She was well known in the community. She worked as a teacher in the Hall County Schools. She also worked with Special Education Students throughout her time in Hall County.

She worked for 30 years at PineIsle Resort and 7 years at Legacy Lodge Hotel on Lake Lanier Islands. She was a very caring, loving, giving, and vivacious individual. She was known as a “Mama” to all she met.

She was an active part of the artist community throughout her life. She loved oil painting and had gallery shows at UNG and Quinlan Arts, and was a member of the Ladies Painting Guild. She was a very loving, giving mother where no sacrifice was too big for her children.

She was a seamstress, a creator, a fixer of all things, Potter and a crafting genius. The world is less bright with her passing. She was preceded in death by her father James Oscar Cantrell and mother Nicie Jane Morrison Cantrell, nephew William Taylor (Buck) Cantrell, and sister, Laverne Martin.

She is survived by her three children, Genia and Jeff Reid, Allison Sanderson and Vanessa and Ricky Bragger; seven grandchildren, Jaden Reid, Abby Bagger, Olivia Sanderson, Elise Sanderson, Larsyn Reid, Georgia Bragger, Emma Bragger; brother, James and JoAnn Cantrell; sister, Zonell and John Davis; sister, Lenora Roper; sister, Sue and Jesse Smith; brother, Taylor and Linda Cantrell; sister, Oma Millwood. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 in the chapel of Free Chapel Church. Pastor Jentezen Franklin will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday, 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at Free Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Greater Hall Co. FCA, P O Box 656 Oakwood, GA 30566 or anything affiliated with the Arts or Quinlan Art Center.
