Obituary for Ella Robertson Ella Mae Earls Robertson was born October 7, 1946 in Dahlonega Georgia. She was the youngest daughter of Reno and Jessie Earls. She was raised in a happy home amongst several brothers and sisters.

She lived in Dahlonega until the age of fifteen when her family relocated to Gainesville, Georgia. She graduated from Butler High in 1965. It was in 1966 that she met and married the love of her life, Benjamin Robertson.

She moved to Atlanta, Georgia where her husband was stationed in the United States Army. Together they raised three children Benjamin Harold Jr., Carmen Bennita, and Jonathan Bennard. They were married for fifty years.

Ella took her roles as a wife and mother very seriously, and after having worked in daycares, hospitals, and nursing homes, she decided to become a full time mother. She would care for her family tirelessly until the youngest went to kindergarten. She then returned to the work force and worked over ten years at Macy’s Distribution Center.

Although she was soft spoken, her sweet and gentle personality drew people to her and she developed many lifelong friendships. Having been given a foundation in Jesus Christ as a child, she decided to ask Jesus to come into her heart as a young woman. This relationship with Jesus became the foundation from which she based all decisions.

It did not take long after knowing Ella that it was made clear that loving and living for Christ was the most important decision that she had her made. She not only taught her children the word of God but she and her husband lived a lifestyle in front of their children that exemplified Christ. She prayed for many people and led them to Christ.

The love of God permeated through her. She was truly a loving and kind woman. Showing love to others was something that she went out of her way to do.

She was known for making birthday cards for friends and relatives. She called it her “ministry”. Ella consistently placed the needs of others above her own.

She was a gifted caregiver taking family members into her home who could not care for themselves to work tirelessly to meet their needs around the clock. On June 5, 2018, she went home to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Robertson Sr., her parents: Reno and Jessie Mae Earls, her siblings: Lee Earls, Evelyn Earls Browner, Robert Earls, Reverend Joseph Earls, Ernest Earls, Reverend Frank Earls, Johnnie Lewis Earls, Reverend Anna Elene Earls Reid, and Donald Earls.
