Mr. Hugh B. Reed, age 85, of Oakwood, GA passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of Hall County, attended Reinhardt College and ABAC, then served his country in the United States Army, and retired from General Motors Doraville plant. He spent most of his days tending to livestock on his farm.

Hugh was a member of Oakwood First United Methodist Church. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who had a great sense of humor. He was the son of the late Guy and Jesse Lou Scroggs Reed, and was also preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Atkins Reed, and sons, Timothy and Steve Reed.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Cam and Sandra Reed; daughters-in-law, Sandra S. Reed and Angie Reed; grandchildren, Shannon, Laura, Brett, Tyler, Brooke, Cody, and Cali; great grandchildren, Sawyer and Cassidy; and sister, Diane Pendley. Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Oakwood First United Methodist Church. Rev.

Randall Reed will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little Davenport Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, July 9, 2018, and again on Tuesday, July 10 from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm.
