Justo Angel Perez, age 73, died on Monday June 25, 2018 after battling cancer for over a year and a half. Justo, who sometimes went by Joe, was born in Caraballo, Cuba on April 12, 1945. The son of a farmer, he moved to the Unites States when he was 16 to live with his Aunt & Uncle in Hialeah, FL.

A few years after coming to the states, he met his lovely wife Lynne. They were married on February 26th, 1966. Over the course of a 47-year career with Ryder Transportation Services, Justo worked his way from a clerk at the rental counter to the Director of a national sales organization, somehow managing to complete his college education while working and raising his family.

Justo enjoyed Porsche’s and BMW’s, being active and spending time with friends and family. He could be found at the gym, on the pickle ball court, at a sports game, on the lake or with his grandchildren. Justo was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.

He attended every school event and sporting event that his grandchildren participated in. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years; sons Jay, Dan (Carolina), and Eric (Jaime); and 7 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 5, 2018 at Hillside Chapel Funeral Home, 1190 McEver Road, Gainesville, GA 30506.

Visitation will be held from 4-6pm with the service starting at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made at www.
