James “Ed”‘s Obituary Mr. James Edward “Ed” Patrick, age 83, of Thomaston, died Saturday, January 5, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be Tuesday January 8, 2019 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Upson Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Patrick was born February 1, 1935 in Cartersville, GA to the late Jim and Lois Rogers Patrick. He served in the United States Navy, was retired from the Upson County school system and a member of Faith Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife , Charlene Patrick of Thomaston, daughters, Teresa Smith and her husband Ken of Griffin and Cindy Thrasher and her husband Dennis of Thomaston, sons, Tim Patrick and his wife Judy of Thomaston and David Patrick of Thomaston, brothers, R.L. Patrick, Jimmy Patrick and his wife Sandra and Kenny Patrick and his wife Shirley, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Margie Johnson. The family will receive friends Monday January 7, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Coggins Funeral Home.
