Obituary for James Edward Dukes Mr. James Edward “Tuttie” Dukes, 75, of Wrenn Dr., died Monday, July 2, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Gaffney, SC on May 13, 1943 to Ethel D. Adams and James Edward Littlejohn but was reared by Charles “Jack” Adams. He retired from Gordon Veneer after 46 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Jo Holmes. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Virginia “Ann” Dukes of the home; five sons: Jerome Dukes of the home, Vernon Holmes, Charles (Evette) Holmes both of Lexington, Tyrone (Tanisha) Dukes of Greensboro and Marcus (Raynicia) Dukes of Winston-Salem; 12 grandchildren; four sisters: Esther (Booker T.) Neely, Gladys Adams both of Lexington, Valerie Watkins and Nikkita Watkins both of Cleveland, OH; mother-in-law, Christine Frazier of Lexington and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be Sunday at Files Chapel Baptist Church at 3:00 pm with family visitation at 2:30 pm.
