James Edward Weiss, 56, of La Porte, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at his home. James was born in Greeley, CO, on July 31, 1962 to Donald Edward and Marilyn Ellen (Wilson) Weiss. Surviving are his sister, Janet Weiss of Rolling Prairie; aunts and uncles, Bob and Doris Craycraft of Plymouth, Bill and Kay Heirbrandt of Indianapolis, Robert and Audrey Weiss of California; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, John Weiss; grandparents, Miller and Florence Wilson and Frederick Weiss. James was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed computer games, security, and programming.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. Burial at Kingsbury Cemetery will take place at a later time. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674 or the charity of the donors choice.
