Linda Sue Platt, 69, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 19, 2019. Linda was born on December 4, 1949 in La Porte, IN, to Homer and Thelma Pauline (Stacy) Miller. On April 16, 1992 in La Porte, IN, she married James E. Platt who survives.

Also surviving are her sons, Mike and Tom Prater; 4 grandsons, Shane, Derek, Darren and Branden Prater; great-grandson, Elliott Prater; father, Homer Miller; sister, Brenda Wienderhold; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother. Linda was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant.

She received great joy and blessing while quilting with the Pioneer Land Quilters at the La Porte County Fairgrounds. Linda loved the music and preaching at La Porte Missionary Church, her church home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 pm (CT) on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Carl Galloway officiating.

Burial will follow at Kingsbury Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 10 am (CT) until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Great Lakes Caring Hospice Foundation, 900 Cooper Street, Jackson, MI 49202.
