James F. Cranston, 86, of North Tonawanda, NY (May 23, 2019) at home surrounded by family under the care of Niagara Hospice. Mr. Cranston was born in Buffalo, New York on April 9, 1933 to John and Almina (Sanford) Cranston. James was a veteran of the United States Navy and was an Assistant Manager for Verizon.

Mr. Cranston was predeceased by his son James who died in 1993. James is survived by his wife Gail (Jorgensen) Cranston, father of Kevin (Kathy), Linda (Loring Stevens) Cox, Bruce, Connie (Robert) Zellner, Gloryanne Holbrook (Peter Titterington), and John (Denise), brother of Martha Jane (Richard) Miller, Ruth Gentner, John, Marilyn Farr, Nancy (Arthur) King, Susan (the late Ted) Miller, and Barbara Westerdale (James), grandfather of 16, great grandfather of 10, also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 P.M. at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Dr., North Tonawanda, NY, where funeral services will follow Wednesday at 10 A.M. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Springville, NY.
